Great experience for first timer

Great Experience
Overall a really good experience, we were roughly 45 mins late coming back since we were waiting for 2 people to come, I think there should be a 15 min late policy, but I also don’t partly blame the people as we only found out our return time on the bus when we got there. Great trip with a few improvement needed
Mountain Creek ski trip (01/31/26) — Overall, a good and enjoyable ski trip with Sourced Adventures, thanks largely to strong customer service and good organization. While there were a few logistical hiccups (below) the value (especially the lift ticket), friendly staff, and responsiveness made it worth recommending—particularly for people who want a fun, low-stress outing rather than a hardcore ski trip. this was my second event with this company. My first was a kayak and winery trip a long time ago, which I really liked. This was my first ski trip with them, as I usually go with OVRIDE. I booked partly because of the Black Friday discount and partly to see how Mountain Creek has changed. It’s the closest ski resort from Manhattan, and I hadn’t been there in about 15 years. Most things worked quite well, with a few issues. For skiers, this trip has real value since the Mountain Creek day lift ticket alone costs around $120. The resort itself has improved a lot, with a ski-in/ski-out hotel and three interconnected mountains. The bus was comfortable, and the driver was very kind and drove safely. The organization was generally good, except for three issues: 1. Union Square pickup was chaotic. Three buses going to different locations with different companies arrived at the same time. Clear signage on the bus identifying it as Sourced Adventures would be very helpful. 2. Delayed departure: The bus left about 20 minutes late because one party needed time to find parking for their car (!). We were initially told we would leave the mountain around 3:30 pm, which is quite early compared to other companies (usually 4:00–4:30), especially since Mountain Creek is only about 90 minutes from Manhattan and we started late. After I contacted customer service, the departure time was adjusted to 4:00 pm. We arrived back in Manhattan around 5:15 pm. 3. Mountain Creek ticketing issue (not Sourced Adventures’ fault): The resort’s ticket coding system was not working, which caused additional waiting time. I was surprised that no one else in our group had their own gear, so they needed to sort out the notorious rental process. And this trip felt more on the “fun and social” side rather than for serious skiers. The weather was fantastic, which helped compensate for the crowded lifts and long wait times. The best part was the customer service. Real people are working and responding promptly. Before the trip, I contacted them about weather concerns and received reassurance and practical tips. During the trip, I communicated about delays, reduced mountain time, and even the noisy movie on the bus that made it hard to sleep—and all of these concerns were addressed. Despite a few issues, I would recommend Sourced Adventures. This is a great option for people with diverse interests who want to try many experiences without much hassle.02/03/2026
Disappointed of early departure
I was a bit disappointed this time (Jan 31) because we had to be at the bus at 3:30 pm, which meant finishing skiing about an hour before the lift time I paid for. Combined with the pass issue in the morning, I ended up losing about an hour and a half of skiing. Last time (Jan 17th) we left at 4:30 pm, which felt perfect. I’d really love to keep using your tour, but the early departure makes it difficult for me01/19/2026

I had an absolutely amazing time on our Mountain Creek ski trip, especially as a first-time skier. From start to finish, everything felt seamless and stress-free. Can I leave my stuff on the bus?
Yes! That said, the bus will be locked and parked away from the mountain during the day so you’ll not be able to access it.
Are there lockers at the mountain?
Yes! They generally cost about $8
How long is the trip?
The trip day in total is 12-13 hours long.
Is lunch included?
No, lunch is not included in your ticket. There are multiple affordable food options at the mountain, which can be found at the base lodge or summit lodge.
What should I bring?
- Ski Clothes or warm layers. It’s important to bundle up for skiing and to wear waterproof clothing. Ski pants and ski jackets are ideal. Don’t have ski clothes? You can rent clothing in advance.
- Snacks for the road. It’s an early morning, so make sure you bring some breakfast with you for the bus ride up, and snacks for the ride home.
- Water bottle. Always important to stay hydrated throughout the day!
- Phone charger. Your phone will drain a good amount of battery for the day, so make sure you have a charger in case of any emergencies.
- Skis and Snowboard IF you have your own. We have plenty of room under the bus if you want to bring your own gear.
- Spare Change. Skiing burns A LOT of calories, meaning you’ll be hungry at some point during the day. Bring some cash or credit along so you can refuel on food at the lodge or treat yourself to a beer.
When do we leave the mountain?
We leave Mountain Creek at 4:00pm.
Can I take the bus up on one day and the bus back on another?
Unfortunately, bus transportation is only valid for use within a single day. This is to ensure that all of our customers have available seats for the return journey to NYC on any given day.
Can I drive myself?
Unfortunately, driving yourself is prohibited. We do this for logistical and liability reasons.
Can I bring my kids on the trip?
Unfortunately, no. This is an 18+ trip.

The trip is nonrefundable. No full or partial refunds are given to customers who miss the event. In the event of a cancellation by the operator, your ticket will be fully refunded. Event subject to change/cancellation based on weather/river/snow level conditions. All trips run rain or shine; in the unlikely event of a cancellation, you will be notified via email. There are no reschedules or refunds for missing the bus or no-shows. Each ticket is good for one (1) person unless specified otherwise. Trips involving alcohol are 21+, and a valid ID is required. All other trips are 18+. The deal is valid only for tickets on the date[s] of the event as listed and may not be exchanged or redeemed for any other dates. Provided transportation by Sourced Adventures is required; you may not drive yourself.
To attend any Sourced Adventures trip whether your ticket is purchased directly through Sourced Adventures, Inc. or any of its affiliates, distributors, or partners you are required to sign and submit a copy of our release of liability waiver before departure. We will collect your waiver on-site and by attending you must agree to our release of liability terms outlines in our waiver.
