Is it legal for Americans to Travel to Cuba under the Trump Administration?

Short answer – yes!

Since the Cuban Assets Control Regulations (CACR) went into effect on January 16th, 2015 there are 12 “authorized categories” under-which Americans may travel to Cuba.  These categories took the place of the previous law which had mandated a specific license. As of June 5th, 2019 the only category that has been eliminated is the “People to People” category which mainly affected cruise ships and commercial tour operators. There are still 11 categories remaining, including our trip, which falls under “Support for the Cuban People”

This trip falls under the “Support for the Cuban People Travel”. Our trip covers the following requirements:

-Our guests enjoy a full time schedule of activities that result with meaningful interactions with individuals in Cuba
-Our guests stay in a private Cuban residences and not in large, government owned hotels
-Our guests eat at private restaurants
-Sourced Adventures has partnered with the most trusted, self-employed small business owners in Cuba to help execute our carefully crafted itinerary
