Welcome to Costa Rica, where your adventure will kick off in the bustling capital of San José. After being transported to your hotel, you’ll have time to soak in the change of scenery before your welcome meeting at 6:00 pm. Here, you’ll be introduced to your trusty guide, who will be there to show you the wonders of this beautiful country throughout the trip. Surrounded by new friends, make your way to an authentic, local restaurant to indulge in your first meal together. Then, head back to your hotel to rest up for the days ahead.

Get ready for a once in a lifetime hike while you explore an incredible volcano. You’ll depart with your guide at 8:00 am, where you’ll be taken in a private transfer to La Fortuna, a sleepy town nestled in the foothills of the looming Arenal Volcano. On the short, two-hour drive there, marvel at the scenery and get to know your fellow travelers. Once you’ve arrived, learn about the history of the area as you hike through Arenal National Park, seeing sweeping panoramas as you go. Afterwards, you have the option to soothe your aching muscles and enjoy a mouth-watering dinner at the Baldi Hot Springs.

Wake up bright and early for breakfast and prepare for an exciting day full of activities. Travel up the volcano in a gondola, where you’ll enjoy sights of the Arenal Lake and the plush rainforest landscape. Then take the fast way down by ziplining through the trees, seeing the scenery in a whole new way. After your zipline adventure, you’ll hop into a private vehicle to be transported to the Rio Celeste river. This natural phenomenon is hidden in the Tenorio Volcano National Park, and glows a vibrant, eye-catching blue. With the rest of your group, use your free afternoon to take a closer look at the water, keeping an eye out for monkeys and sloths hiding in the jungle canopy.

Ever floated on an almost glowing blue river through a rain forest? Well now you can. After breakfast, we start the day off with a 2 hour float in the cool blue waters of Rio Celeste where you can take in the breathtaking nature from the best seat in the house. After your river tubing adventure, you’ll eat a delicious lunch with your group. Then, hop in a private vehicle and travel to Playa Panama for the start of beach time. Make the most of this famous beach by walking up and down its serene shores, or take a surfing lesson, or simply by relaxing on the hot sand all afternoon. Use this free afternoon to really get in the Caribbean beach mindset.

Enjoy a leisurely morning, indulging in some of the local delicacies for your breakfast. And again enjoy a free morning in this charming beach town. At 1:30 pm, your guide will take you to the marina, where you’ll set sail on a catamaran for an extra special afternoon. Soak in the late afternoon sun as you go snorkeling in the crystal waters of the Pacific Ocean, where you’ll catch sight of a colorful underwater world. Climb back onto the boat to watch the sun melt into the sea and reflect on the memories you’ve made on the trip. When you’ve docked, enjoy a farewell dinner with your group.

No – you’ll have to get your own flights for this trip. We are not including flights to give you more freedom on how you get to the trip in case you want to travel somewhere different before or after.
Travel insurance is compulsory and mandatory in order to take part in the trip. Proof of insurance must be provided to Sourced Adventures at least 14 days prior to departure.
You’ll always need a valid passport for our international trips and we will let you know any other documents necessary including visas once you book your trip. We will help you get all the additional documents you need well before the trip leaves!

Transportation from the airport to the hotel upon arrival is included. When you are at the hotel you will meet your guide.
Yes you will, you will have the same awesome, trained guide with you for your full trip in Costa Rica
You should aim to have your flight arrive in the morning, midday or early afternoon. The welcome meeting is at 6PM on Day 1, so you’ll want to be in the hotel before that time.
Yes! Transfer is included so you will be picked up at the airport. We will share more info when you book.
General items you’d pack for any trip to the Caribbean: Sunscreen, bugspray, hat, sunglasses, snacks, backpack, chargers, clothes for hot climate, light jacket, good walking/hiking shoes, sandals, bathing suit, toiletries, etc.
We will need to know if you have any dietary requirements before the trip. We will make sure to communicate to our leaders and suppliers about any allergies or restrictions, but some things might be difficult to accommodate in certain areas. Please let us know ASAP once you book.
