You asked so we’ll deliver – join us and go for a hike on this small group hiking trip out of NYC!
Meet your leader at the Adventure Cafe in NYC before being whisked out to our favorite section of the Appalachian Trail in New Jersey. It will be about a 1.5 hour drive, after which we’ll embark on our point to point hike! No, we don’t double back – our van will pick us up at the other side of the hike. We’ll be doing a 2.7 mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail that winds through the marsh on the Pochuck Board walk and includes about 400ft of gentle elevation gain. One of the coolest features of the hike is a 110ft wooden extension bridge that we’ll be crossing. We’ll plan on hiking for 2.5 hours. If the group is moving very quickly, we have options to keep moving and extend the hike as well.
After the hike, we’ll be heading to one of our local brewery partners for a hearty picnic lunch and some delicious local craft beer. Breweries we could visit include Pine Island and Glenmere Brewing company.
All in all, this is the perfect experience for someone who’s looking for a relaxing but scenic escape from NYC in the spring, summer or fall. On this small group trip, you’ll get a chance to bond with and make friends with your fellow hikers. This trip has a maximum group size of 16 so it’s the perfect opportunity to bond with some old friends from past trips or make some new friends.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! We look forward to adventuring with you.
