No visit to the land of Ice and Fire is complete without stopping by the world famous Blue Lagoon!
Spend hours relaxing in the sky blue water of Iceland’s most popular outdoor geothermal spa, located among the lava fields at Grindavík. The lagoon is fed by a local geothermal plant which renders the average temperature of the Lagoon a toasty 98.5-102 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Lagoon is mineral rich, largely silica and sulfur, which makes for a relaxing bathing experience. Spend time applying mineral mud masks to your face while watching the sunrise over the steaming lagoon. If you visit in the winter time, you might get lucky and be treated to snowfall as you bathe in the warm lagoon.
When you arrive, check-in at the front desk before rinsing off and entering the spa. Forgot your towel? No problem, towel rental and package upgrades can be purchased upon arrival. If you have luggage, you can safely store it for 4-5 euro per bag. Don’t forget your swimsuit!
The majestic Blue Lagoon is a must see on any Iceland agenda!
