However you want to structure your adventure, your trip will always start in Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital. You will spend three nights in a centrally located hotel in Edinburgh where you will have ample time to explore the intricate city. Begin each day with an included hearty breakfast before heading out to take in the inspiring Scottish metropolis. Beyond your hotel stay, we have also included entrance into the world famous Scotch Whiskey Experience and the Edinburgh Castle. On the Scotch Whiskey Experience, you will take a guided tour through the history of Scotch Whiskey, complete with whiskey tasting. You will also have the opportunity to climb the hill to Edinburgh Castle, poised on ‘Castle Rock” where you can take in the breathtaking views of Edinburgh and revel in the rich history of this epic Scottish castle.

After you have spent a few days exploring Edinburgh on your own, it’s time to explore another city! Which city? It’s up to you! You can choose from Glasgow, Inverness OR York.

If you are into music, history and culture, then Glasgow is the place for you. Glasgow has been continually rated as one of the best places for live music in Britain. It also boasts a host of music halls and other underground music venues. Glasgow also lays claim to having the most complete Medieval Cathedral on the Scottish Mainland. Included in your tour is access to a hop-on-hop-off day trip pass so that you can explore Glasgow at your leisure and take advantage of learning about the city from a certified tour guide.
Beyond Glasgow, you will have the opportunity to embark on a Day Tour to Oban – a picturesque town on the Scottish Coast. On the tour you will pass Dumbarton’s imposing rock fortress and stop on the shores of Loch Fyne. From there you will continue your journey, visiting Kilchurn Castle and then taking a lunch stop (food not included) in the quaint town of Oban. You will have plenty of time to explore the township before migrating to the banks of Loch Lomond. Afte a full day, you will return to Glasgow in the evening. For details see the FAQ section below.
If you choose the Edinburgh + Glasgow Package, you will also receive an included Day Tour to St Andrews from Edinburgh. This tour includes a crossing of the Iconic Forth Bridge into the ancient “Kingdom of Fife”. After a scenic ride, you will arrive in St. Andrews for lunch (not included) and an afternoon of free time. From there, you will visit the village of Falkland, Loch Leven (scene of Mary Queen of Scots imprisonment and escape) and on to the picturesque village of South Queensferry where you will enjoy your final stop before returning to Edinburgh. Inverness lays claim to the title of “Capital of the Highlands” and it lives up to that. Located just 30 minutes north of the famous Loch Ness, Inverness is a great choice if you are not as keen to spend your vacation based in a very large city. The city boasts its share of culture and history but it’s also easy to explore on foot for a quiet day in the city. Here you will find a thriving food scene and the opportunity to stroll through historic neighborhoods and partake in some quaint shopping. Included in this option is a hop-on-hop-off tour day pass of Inverness as well.
No visit to Inverness would be complete without a visit to Loch Ness! With that in mind, we have included a Day Tour to Loch Ness with an included boat cruise and visit to Urquhart Castle. Learn everything you have ever wanted to know about Nessie (the Loch Ness Monster) and visit the mighty stronghold of Urquhart Castle – complete with a Nessie exhibition.
If you choose the Edinburgh + Inverness Package, you will also receive an included Day Tour to St Andrews from Edinburgh. If you want to split your time between Scotland and venture into England as well, the York itinerary is for you! To the south of Edinburgh, York is known for its ‘medieval’ feel. York’s ancient walls enclose a winding maze of close streets with the breath taking York Minister Gothic Cathedral. There is no need for a tour bus to take you around this this tourist friendly city – it’s easily accessible by foot. Make sure you wander into York’s museums and spend some quality time getting to know its traditional pubs.
From York we also include a Day Trip through the Yorkshire Dales. On this day tour you’ll visit the brewery laden town of Masham before heading to Castle Bolton (one the best preserved medieval castles in the country). From there you’ll visit the famous waterfalls of the River Ure, with its three massive drops over the course of one mile. The afternoon will offer some free time at Grassington where you will find bustling cobbled streets with local food vendors at the ready. On the way back to York you’ll pass through ongoing breathtaking scenery offered by the Yorkshire Dales. For details see FAQ below.
If you choose the Edinburgh + York Package, you will also receive an included Day Tour to Stirling and Loch Lomond from Edinburgh. On this tour, marvel at the feat of sculptural engineering known as the Kelpies. Following that, you will head to the city of Stirling for about 2 hours of free time before heading to Aberfyole for lunch (not included) while passing through the dramatic views of Trossachs National Park and its Lochs.
